I dedicated this page only to the videos I consider wondrous and marvelous.
Here are only topics that I consider nourishing to the intellect, the spirit and the  mind.

Passing Through

“Like a wave in the physical world, in the infinite ocean of the medium which pervades all, so in the world of organisms, in life, an impulse started proceeds onward, at times, may be, with the speed of light, at times, again, so slowly that for ages and ages it seems to stay, passing through processes of a complexity inconceivable to men, but in all its forms, in all its stages, its energy ever and ever integrally present.

“A single ray of light from a distant star falling upon the eye of a tyrant in bygone times may have altered the course of his life, may have changed the destiny of nations, may have transformed the surface of the globe, so intricate, so inconceivably complex are the processes in Nature.

“In no way can we get such an overwhelming idea of the grandeur of Nature than when we consider, that in accordance with the law of the conservation of energy, throughout the Infinite, the forces are in a perfect balance, and hence the energy of a single thought may determine the motion of a universe.”

“Within Two Worlds depicts an alternate perspective by giving us the illusion of times movement, signifying a beginning and end within a world of constant contradiction.  It appears you are traveling in the midst of a dream, half-sleeping, half-waking, and touching the arch connecting heaven and earth.” –Brad Goldpaint

Three years ago, after his mother passed away, Brad Goldpaint discoverted his passion and talent for photography.  The inspiration was a hike at the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).

This time-lapse video shows how the night sky and landscapes co-exist  as two worlds within one  “world of contradictions”.

“Goldpaint express his hope that this connection between heaven and earth inspires you to discover and create your own opportunities, to reach your rightful place within two worlds.”– The Watchers, Adorra Eli

2012 Venus Transit

Video image collage in various wavelengths, filmed over a six hours period, on June 5, and June 6, 2012.  The images were collected by NASA’s  Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), during the what was considered one of the rarest predictable solar events in history:  The Transit of Venus Across The Sun.

Venus transits across the sun, occur in pairs eight years apart.  They but these pairs only happen every 105 or 121 years.  The last Venus transit was observed in 2004.   The next transit pair is predicted to happen in 2117.

Space Shuttle Atlantis Landing
STS-125 Mission

Space Shuttle Atlantis landed at 11:39 a.m. EDT at Edwards Air Force Base in California, on Sunday, May 24, 2009.  Atlantis completed its final servicing mission to the Hubble Space Telescope to enhance and extend the life of the Hubble observatory.  The astronauts conducted five spacewalks during the 13 days mission (STS-125 ).

The Hubble, had completed its 5.3 million miles life in space, and was updated with the latest science instruments to improve its telescopic capabilities by 70 times its current abilities and extended its lifespan for another 5 years or till about 2014.

The STS-125 Space Shuttle Atlantis flight landing was delayed for two days due to weather conditions at the landing site at Edwards Air Force Base, near San Bernadino, California.

“Although aurorae are spetacular to watch, they are actually manifestation of violent space weather”

As non-deflected highly energized solar protons traverse the  magnetosphere and beyond the Van Allen Belts, they filter through the upper atmosphere into the ionosphere, and there they collide with oxygen and hydrogen molecules energizing them.  They glow and form dangerous, but beautiful Aurorae.  Watch the video below to learn how all of this takes place in the upper atmosphere (Stratosphere) of the Earth.  This is called a solar proton event.

The Van Allen Belts

The Van Allen radiation belt is a torus inside the magnetosphere, positioned around the Earth comprising of two layers (inner and outer Van Allen Belt) which absorbs much of the energetic charged particles (plasma or radiation) before they reach the ionosphere and the ozone layers of the Earth.   The Van Allen belts are held in place by Earth’s magnetic field.  This radiation protective torus extends from about 1,000 to 60,000 kilometers above the Earth, and radiation levels in these belts vary depending on space weather conditions.   Some of the energetic particles absorbed and existent in the belts come from solar wind and cosmic rays traveling in the solar wind towards Earth.

The Van Allen Belts are names after James Alfred Van Allen (Sept 07, 1914 – Aug 9, 2006), who was an American space scientist at the University of Iowa.  The Van Allen radiation belts were named James Van Allen, after the 1958 satellite missions Explorer 1 and Explorer 3, in which his theory of these two radiation belts was confirmed, as he insisted that a Geiger–Müller counter be used in those missions.  The Geiger-Müller is a particle detector used to measure ionizing radiation and  the emission of nuclear radiation:  Alpha particles, beta particles or gamma rays emitted by ionization.

Photons, Graviton, Boson, and more

We hear these words, photons, graviton, boson, etc., in detailed explanation scientific topics, and yet we hardly hear an explanation of what these physics particles really are–what they look like, and what is their purpose in the field of nuclear physics study of energy and mass.

Chemistry, Biology, and Physics

Chemistry, biology, and physics can be daunting for many students of all grades. It seems that the highest the grade they the more confused they get about basic of chemistry such as composition of atoms, isotopes, radiation and atom composition into molecules.

Unfortunately, this confusion arises from one important missing component in their education. This missing component is a clear, step by step, explanation of the basics of atoms and a basics in the role of subatomic particles atom composition, in a way that they can clearly see, understand, and visualize how they all integrate and how these basic elements follow all of the other more advanced topics of chemistry, biology, and physics they will study later.

Once this is well understood, the mystery is over, and the student will thrive as he/she will be able to correlate the basic knowledge with the higher or more advance subject they will be studying in a clear vision, where they can actually visualy these atomic elements playing their part on what is being explained, instead of just sitting these wondering what in the world that strange chemistry or biology or physics term they are hearing really mean, and go on memorizing it, without a speck of knowledge of what it really is, or how science came about to call it that name.

Once that missing basic phase of learning atomic elements is covered and well understood, the subjects of chemistry, biology and physics, in all levels of the student’s education, be it elementary school, high school, or any level of college science class, will become extremely easy to understand as the student becomes capable now of correlating these foundation knowledge with higher scientific principles that they will be or are learning and will become become proficient in those subjects.

These videos. starting with the one posted here below, and various others that you can access via YouTube, when this video finishes playing, may seem elementary and some times even too advanced, at first glace, they cover that missing component that I spoke about earlier in a way that no one can fail to understand.  These components are the linking steps to help us understand all subjects of science as whole and help students of all levels to thrive in all their science classes.

The explanation of the above subjects in these videos are made in language that both a child and educated adult can understand and relate, without getting confused, and without missing or leaving any of the necessary steps out. Those often left out steps, which many think a child does not need or is incapable of understanding, is what they never get during their education, and those are the components that create a gap that later makes it impossible for them to learn and understand simple science facts, or correlate these simple science facts, and causes a great number of students to loose interest in and even hate science.

Don’t underestimate the power of a child to learn and understand, and retain in memory higher orderly facts. A child’s mind is like a sponge, it will absorb all it is exposed to. Later, when that knowledge is necessary, it will be stored in their subconscious mind to use and to link and to correlated with other subjects, without having to go through the grueling process of studying something without understanding it. A child missing these components of chemistry, which are vital to also learn biology and physics are the ones, who, when they get to that point, fail.

They fail because they cannot connect anything they are hearing with anything they have ever heard before, and that is frustrating, humiliating, and an unnecessary overburden that can be avoided.

Enjoy the video and share it with your school and college level children.

Ezra Taft Benson Talk on The Last Days

If you are worried about the disasters and crimes and horrors we are often seeing on the news, don’t be.  There is hope and lots of it, if we look for it in the right places. President Benson, in this video, quotes, “Stand ye in holy places”.  In short, that means keep the commandments of God no matter where we are, no matter where we go, no matter who we are with.  That is our shield of protection for ourselves and for our families and for those we associate wit in these last days. As we stop the chain of disobedience to God’s commandments, we will become one less person who will participate in, tempt, or entice others to do what is wrong.  Thus, we stand in holy places.  When we dare to be different and change and obey God’s commandments, He blesses us.  I know this, He blessed and blesses me, and I was number one at doing what is wrong and lived a miserable life, until I accepted this teaching and practiced it.  you can put it to test too.  Chances are you are not doing nearly a fraction of what I did wrong.  Imagine now, how blessed you will become!
